Figured I'd post a quick update on my project. After looking over several engines, cores, projects...you get the picture. Not to mention driving a couple buddies nuts with 1000 questions (much appreciate the patience with the questions)...I bit the bullet and picked up a project with the initial intent of just grabbing it for the engine. It's a 46 Cessna 120 that's pretty well complete and just needs some (relative term) reassembly to get it back in the air. Logs since new on airframe and engine. Like I said, I bought it initially thinking I just wanted the O SMOH C85-12 Stroker. All new parts other than the case and a yellow tagged cam. (new Millennium cylinders, new Continental crank, connecting rods, etc) and it came with all accessories (overhauled mags). The little 120 is growing on me and I think it might just make for a bit of fun flying until the J3 is ready for the 85 and I'll look to put something else back on the 120 more than likely and the wife can fly it. Anyhoo...just thought I'd share the good news as I sure like seeing other projects on here. Major garage cleaning about to happen to make room and get to work on the Cub.

A couple pics of the 120 and engine...
