Getting Glen's above ready to go. Got it rigged yesterday and attach a few minor items and go thru it and then go thru it again. Anyone flown one with 150hp? Could use a few tips. I've flown Pitts S1C-150(M6) and Starduster Too the most, both some time ago. My Only recent time is in the J5A. I'm going to fly it some more from the back but the Acro Sport seems to actually offer better look around than the Cub...
Speeds, technique, etc?. I figure about 100 in pattern, 85 on final and 70-75 over the fence? If that's too fast I'll slow it down a bit? Glen says stall is about 58 IAS straight and level. I'll try some slow flight up high and see how much slips effect ASI. Once I figured out the Pitts and SA300, when properly trimmed pitch/feel were better instruments in a big slip than the ASI(FWIW). I remember that early on in the Pitts, I'd kick it out straight for landing and found myself about 10mph too fast(which was indeed better than 10 too slow, that coupled with 5 feet too high is what caused the last incident...)
Thanks,
Jack
