So I am in the early stages of flight training in a cub and one day hope to own my own plane. I understand that to work on a certified plane you have to be an A & P but here is my question... All these guys restoring cubs are you A &P's? Also can you turn a certified plane into an experimental? I would love to have a cub but at the going prices I just can't see that happening unless I get a "fixer upper" but if you have to be an A & P then that's a lot more time and training.

Thanks in advance I really enjoy this for forum and reading about the cub.
