do i have the following right: nas3 carbs with the neoprene tipped float needle is still legal, although seems like service bulletins steer folks back to steel, or delrin. also, although service bulletins say the neoprene should be used with the rounded edge seat, haven't seen any mandated info to that effect. also, i haven't seen any AD or any warnings from petersen autogas stc about not using neoprene with alcohol free unleaded auto gas of the proper octane. of course ethanol or methanol are no-no's with any kind of float needle. would any of you be leary of using neoprene with a petersen aviation inc stc as long as the type fuel is complied with. i pulled apart a carb so old there is no record in logs going back 30 years about any maint, and the neoprene needle matched in a sharp edged seat was in great condition, and the carb never had so much as a burp. thanks.
