Thanks Jim C I really appreciate you asking. Today he began his 6th week. He left this morning for one week away from the base where they will test the skills learned so far. It's called the BEAST, Basic-Expeditionary-Airman Skills-Training. They build camps and simulate all types of attacks along with long hikes with heavy packs. I'm glad it's not hot out. They do first aid practice, walk a trail that is bobbie trapped with mini IEDs so as to learn IED recognition. He went in at 5 10 150 he is now 170 20 lbs of muscle gained . He is in the top 5 out of 50 in his flight in PT "Physical Training" and on schedule to graduate in 2 weeks as an Honor Grad. " IF he scores above 90 on his final written test." After graduation he goes to Tech school ------- * 1st 3 weeks in Lackland * Next 17 days in Washington State "SERE" Training * Then 5 days in FL for water survival training * Last 4 months in Altus OK and then whewww 12 days home while working in the recruiting office here. Then I'm pretty sure he goes to McGuire AFB for his crew assignment as a Boom operator on the KC 10.[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRlaRitLxhQ[/ame]. "I'm jealous of the Job." The last 4 months of tech school he is in Altus OK. I will be flying the Cub to see him on weekends when weather permits. Driving when i need to and, Don't worry I already know the volatility of weather in OK in summer time and won't fly if it's even close. Thanks again for asking. Lee PS Airforce Basic Training Today has tougher PT requirements than the Marines. I know that sounds hard to believe but it's true. Here the part I don't envy 1st hour after arrival for some poor soul [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLkuQ1c6Wfw[/ame] One more This poor recruit walked just abit to close to the Airforce TI while he was eating [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGueJMahOpg[/ame]
