Landing gear

Hey everybody, I recently had a J -3 restored and sold it and now I am about to start another one this time doing all the work myself. On this J 3 somebody modified the landing gear at the top making it really wide and I would like to put it back to original. Does anybody have pictures of their landing gear or now where I could get this information? I am talking about the cross member that is just above the brake line. Thanks John
