My L-4H currently looks like a J3. Here is what I know about it:

1944 Production and issued to the Army Air Corps in 1945. Came home in a box in 1947. It was purchased by the fellow who flew it in the Great War. He was the owner for quite some time, and I have the documentation showing the transition back to a J3.

The military serial number is 43-30430.

Does this mean anything to anyone? My intent is to put her back into her OD colors early next year and I am looking to be as accurate as possible.

I have a lot of information from the family that was the first owners after the war. I was just hoping to learn more from the serial numbers. I know you guys are smart out there!
