Hi,
I am new to the Cubs and have been messing with Cessna L-19s for years. I am contemplating looking at a L-4 replica (Experimental) made from a Wag-Aero kit. The workmanship from the pictures is real good and the plane is flying. Price is in the low $30Ks. My question is will it hold its value even though it is not a true L-4. Everyone tells me that airplanes are not a good investment but I don't care at my age because the clock is ticking. I am not into for the money just the enjoyment of meeting people and having a good time. My father learned to fly in a Cub after WWII and he told me stories of flying cross country from Donna, TX to Corpus Christi and back. He followed Hwy 77 low level all the way there and back. Hwy 77 splits the famous King Ranch. Border Patrol would probably shoot you down today for doing that. :D

In the mean time I am also looking for a PA-11 which is my first choice. I will give myself till Christmas to make a decision.

Any thoughts you all might have would be appreciated.
