Hi!

I was thinking of building an L-4 replica from plans, but was told that the LAA (UK) wouldn’t support the build due to copyright concerns. They suggested building a WagAero instead. I have a few questions, though.

1. What are the main differences between the WagAero Sport Trainer and a J-3/L-4?

2. Are the parts interchangable, i.e. could I build a WagAero tuselage with Univair or Dakota wings without modifications?

3. If modifications are required, how complex are they? Are they worth doing?

I would like to have a choice of parts suppliers, and figured building a “clone” that is as close as possible to the would be my best bet to do this. Thoughts?
