Long ago, I was given a paper tube that was from the Piper factory, postmarked Lockhaven, etc. It contained five WWII era "posters" of the L-4. One print is a colored drawing of an L4 in flight, the second is a drawing of the L-4's cable controls, third depicts an L-4 instrument panel (L-4B, I think), fourth shows "Nomenclature", and the last poster shows the control inputs and it's effect on the L-4's flight path.
Does anyone know what exactly these were produced for, and when? I am guessing they were printed for flight schools that were doing training, and since the markings on the L-4 are not oulined in yellow, or red, but devoid of the bars, I would guess it was around '42/'43? I had them framed, and hanging in my office. Now I've got to take them down, to make room for my Robert Taylor prints, but never researched the background.
Thanks!
