Hi Guys,
I asked a few questions here about a month ago. I got alot of great answers that really helped me in my search for a cub. So, thanks everyone!
I found a J3 in New England that I really like. Here is a little history that I got from the airplane records at the FAA.
The plane was new in 1946. In about 1950 it was sold to a guy in Mexico. At that time it was listed as a J3C-65 on the airworthiness. The next guy from New England bought the plane in 1976 and it was rebuilt and an 85HP Continental was put on it that came off of a Cessna 140. When he applied for an airworthiness certificate, it was then listed as only a J3. I was just curious why it is listed like that and if that is anything to worry about.
Thanks for the help,
Tadd
