Hello, I am fairly new to the J3 Cub and I was wondering If I could have some help. I am looking to buy a J3 to do tail wheel endorsements in. Ive been told that I shouldn’t get a Cub with a 65hp if I am will be flying mostly dual. The reason I was given was because of the poor climb performance. I was told that with a 65HP and a 200lb student in the front on a hot summer day in Florida that my climb performance would be only 100 FPM! Can anyone tell me if this is an accurate statement? Is it best to wait until I find a Cub with an 85HP or could a 65HP be doable? Thank you in advance! I would appreciate any advice.
P.S IF YOU ARE THINKING OF SELLING YOUR J3 IN THE COMING FUTURE, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE
