I have a 65 Continental on my 1945 J3. 2500 TT, 600 SMOH. We've used Aeroshell straight 50 weight oil in it. I top the oil up to 4 quarts and like all? cubs, an hour of runtime later, the oil recedes to 3-1/4 qts indicated on the dipstick. I don't know if its my imagination or not but it seems to be knocking a little louder lately. Oil pressure and temp reads the same as always. Compressions are all 78 or 79. How much knocking is normal? Is there an acid test to determine if I have a problem? Am I being paranoid or am I fixing to throw a rod through the block? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
