Hi Guys,
Dan Ford's excellent Cub pages sports a collection of Cub pictures from Mr Brandon Millers grandfather George Reed Morris (in the cockpit in the first picture and leaning on the prop in the second picture). He flew a german marked Cub to a US airfield during the later stage of WW 2, ETO. Reportedly he was attacked by an A-20, hence the marking "Don't shoot!".
The Cub is said to be one of the J-2 Cubs (Taylor J-2 s/n 1319 OY-DUP) assembled in Denmark and therefore was seized by the Germans when they invaded Denmark. It does not appear to be equipped with a Continental A-65 as most L-4's. Some earlier engine perhaps, what do you say, Guys? Is it an A-40?
Just (L-)4 fun/ Jörgen
