Has anyone tried to calibrate the floating fuel guage rod? I'd like to drain my tank and add fuel a gallon at a time (with tail lifted into the flying attitude) and mark the rod so I will be better able to judge how much fuel I have. Has anyone done this successfully and what kind of fuel proof paint or marking did you use?
