Crazy question and I think I would know the answer but can a regular piper J3 Cub be moved out of the Standard Type category into LSA? And possibly vice versa (moved back)?

I have seen cubs for sale that say this plane could be moved to LSA so you can fly without a medical. Just wondering if this could be true.

Knowing how the FAA is silly about such things, I would doubt a plane could change categories.
