I recently replaced the two scat ducts from the Cub that started to get worn. Since then I feel to have an excessive rpm loss when using the carb heat. I have a brutal loss of 200rpm in flight, and around 150 on engine run-up. Before it was more around 50rpm on ground and 100 in flight.
Also we had two events where the command of the carb heat was stuck in close position and needed lots of efforts to unlock. I checked the carb heat box from outside with a mechanic and couldn't see anything abnormal, we oiled the cable and movements are fine but the rpm loss remains quite brutal in flight with 200+ rpm.
Any idea of what is behind this or is it just normal ? Engine runs fine except that.
