Wow did I ever have a nice experience early this morning! I had just landed a 767 from Honolulu to Los Angeles at 0515 this morning. Thinking it would be better to stay at the local "Hacienda Hotel" in Lax rather than drive 155 miles home, just to go back out to Lihue the next day, I assumed the early check in position at the hotel lobby. As I was waiting for the room in the lobby, a well dressed elderly gentleman walked up to me and said, "bet you don't know what a J3 is ?".
I turned at looked at him and said, "are you talking about the worlds best Flying machine, a lightening bolt paint job, or do you just like yellow, bungee gear and a breeze coming through the open swing down door and an American icon?" ...His eyes lighted up like the forth of July, and he said, "God how do you know that?". I said, "look here at my iPad videos".
It's a small world, and his name is Bruce Fall-Photography- Lompoc , Calif.
And yes Mr. Fall, I shall be at Lompoc this July....
Another Cub pleasant experience!....
Good Day..
