In aircraft Spruce under aircraft air filters is a company called Challenger and they are built by K&N air filters. The Brackett BA- 4106 that all of us use or the paper ones are not as efficient or as safe. The K&N which is made to fit the 65/75/85/90/0200 continental engine is a direct replacement and is a metalized box identical to the Brackett air filter with the same mounting holes. It flows about 40% more and is totally reuseable with cleaning. The brackett has an AD on it for failing and shredding into the carb. Rene
It cost $89 and would require a field approval. But makes a big difference. Check your Bracket foam filter for deterioration by pinching it.
