Carb heat slips closed

My carb heat control slowly slips back in over a period of a couple of minutes. That is frequently a shorter time span than I need and it is usually during the landing phase of flight, so that I have to keep on checking it at a time when my attention should not be diverted. Anyone know how I can tighten it up?
