Can anybody recommend from experience a good General/Airframe/Powerplant course to prepare for the FAA A&P mechanic written exam? Most of what I found on-line are DVD and computer based courses, not textbook based. I don't particularly like sitting in front of my computer any more than I have to, and I'd much prefer reading books that I can curl up with in my easy chair.

In any event, I'd appreciate your input on how to prepare for the written tests.

Thank you!
