Persons following my trials changing from 65 to C90 know I have found several differences in cowl fitting locations and such. Today I mounted the carb and intakes....noticed the carb had nice shiny blue angle fitting with some kind of white sealant. Well steel fittings are the way to go so out it came. White sealant: Teflon pipe tape...little pieces of Teflon tape is the last thing one needs is the jets and passageways....glad I found that.
Then the exhaust system wouldn't fit up on the studs. Have Superior cylinders so my second thought was the manufacturer put the studs in a didderent pattern. Here's the kicker and why I wrote this: the valve cover screws stick out 4 turns and interfere with getting the exhaust system up and flush. Back the lower RT hand valve cover screw out and up she goes.
