I suppose this topic has been brought up before, but here it is from me. Has anyone ever received approval for 8.50 tires on their J3? I had them on my last one and told the insurance company. They didn't have a problem with them. My mechanic didn't pay any attention to them at annual. My current plane has Cleveland wheels and brakes, as did the previous one. I am going to put them on the one I have now. Any thoughts? I know Alaska Bushwheels have an STC for their tires, but I don't need them or want to spend that kind of money.
