Yes these tires must be old. I think Uniroyal stopped making aircraft tires in the 80's. I bought a Cub that had been stored for a long time, then restored and these are what was on her. They must have been kept in the dark for a long time.
I only replaced them last year to get that last detail squared away. There was nothing wrong with these tires and tubes when I removed them, other than age.
Check out the attached pictures and you can see that they are in good condition for their vintage.
I want $100 for the pair, including the tubes (no valve core). The shipping will be actual cost. They will ship in an 18" square box and weigh 22lbs, so the shipping will be in the area of $50 by USPS ground.
So....not new by a long shot, but for $150, it's more than fair for a full set of usable 8.00-4's with tubes.
