Wing leading edge

I'm installing new wing pre-formed leading edge I purchased from Univair on my 46 metal spar J-3. They fit great but the outboard section does not go spar to spar so I was wondering if anybody knew what the gap from the edge of the aluminum wrap to the rear edge of the spar is? I can't find any measurements in the plans I have. There is also a reinforcing strip that goes under the top.
