I was just reviewing my W&B 1940 J3L Serial # 4908. After changing out the 65 Franklin, adding the 85-12 Continental the totall weight went from (empty wight) 632 to 775. Does this jive with you guys weights?
If so and my plane is grossed at the 1140 or so lbs. After adding oil, gas and me, I can only carry about a 100 lb person. This just does not seem correct to me. I assisted with the W&B and the #'s were correct. The tail was the same, 61 lbs. the landing wheels were 357 each, up from 291.
We used an electronic race car scales which should have been extremely accurate.

I look forward to your input!

Glenn
