I am thinking to start mixing Avgas with Mogas 98 to reduce the lead content of the Avgas which is not doing great on the valves and plugs. Also the 100 Octane is a bit too much for the Continental design.
Was thinking to mix 50/50 Avgas / Mogas 98. Is this a good ratio ?
I am a bit concerned with the Ethanol content of the Mogas. It seems the 98 unleaded is the one with the lowest Ethanol but it is difficult to understand how much Ethanol is really in it. We read anything between zero and 5% and the manufacturers are somewhat unclear. The Mogas STC prohibit use of Mogas with over 1% of Ethanol and not sure we can really find some anymore.

Also the most recent Mogas (Excellium types) integrate some additives that are supposed to reduce fuel consumption / clean engines, etc… The manufacturers indicates those additives are not of any concern even for very old engine design, but was wondering if this is not going to remove too much dirt from pistons / valves that could be damaging.
Any recent experience or recommendations in using the latest Mogas types and mixing them with Avgas ?
