Thought this might be fun, last friday late afternoon I flew a 0200/J3 out to North Hampton NH from Cooperstown NY, I got the best tailwind I have ever had, the higher I got the faster my ground speed, I rarely fly higher then 1000' but I leveled off at 9000' with a 152 mph ground speed, at one point I was climbing at 200' a min and doing 135 mph GS, at 9000' going 152 mph and it was as smooth as glass, so who else has had the good fortune to grab hold of a free ride and how fast is your best one, J3's or other 80 mph aircraft only.
