I am not sure if this belongs in this forum but here goes.
On July 24Th, the FAA extended the duration of the third class medical from 36 calendar months to 60 calendar months. For pilots under the age of 40.
My last third class medical was issued 1/16/06, so under the old regs it would expire January 2009. I will be 40 in February 09.
So my question is.
With this new law in affect is my current medical good until January 2011? Or do I get a new one in January 09 that will last 5 years? ???
They tell me that when I hit 40, the mind is the second thing to go but I can't remember what the first thing was. ;D
