Well, where do I start, ever since meeting Kathy (2008) or other crazy issues in my life; I have been well aware of my health degrading and we both have been seeking new things to put on our Bucket List. She still wants to jump out of a perfectly good airplane with a parachute, been there and done that when I was younger and bullet proof. We have traveled to Alaska by motorcycle, gone to some Biker Rally's like Sturgis, Rolling Thunder & Daytona, hiked portions of the Appalachian Trail, owned an airplane, flown a J3 Cub to Sentimental Journey twice, Oshkosh, Kitty Hawk and the Outer Banks, skied the Rockies, and rode bicycles around DC and the C&O canal. I have always wanted to fly the J-3 Cub with the 65hp to California and feel I need to do it before the year is over. I will be solo as Kathy has not retired yet.

So here is a rough plan (it will change as folks pipe in, most places right now are picked because of the cheap fuel prices) to include seeing some of the folks I have met on this site and maybe some new ones if I get close to them. I will at least make it out to TX, as I have a couple friends not on this site that would like their tail wheel endorsement or a flight in the Cub, weight allowing (I've already lost 10 pounds myself). Jeff, I put it in the plan to get to Los Alamos, but I'm not sure I would get all the way to that elevation, but will get as close as possible if I choose to continue onto California. I really don't plan to leave earlier than September, but circumstance may dictate something different.
