Many thanks to all of you who served! Seemed appropriate to post this in a forum about Piper war birds.

The Forward Air Controller is a very vulnerable part of the air/ground battle. Amazed at stories posted from combat FAC during WWII and subsequent. My brother was an O-2 FAC in Vietnam. The O-2 carried more potent rockets than Rosie the Rocketeer, but was still very much out gunned.

Again, thanks to those who served! And thanks to all those who supported them, too!
