It was said in another thread that one was tired of cranking the Cub by hand, Well there is a guy here in Michigan that is building a remote starter as an STC for non electric Cubs. It involves a ring gear on the engine and a drive shaft that goes into the cabin where you use a cordless drill to start the thing.
Personally I don't love them, but Harold (the STC holder) is a great man that's getting up in years and wanted to continue flying his T-crate as a sport AC. That meant it needed to be Nonelectric and he isn't strong enough to start it by hand. SO............
His info is...
Harold Hamp of
Hamp Aircraft Service
7350 N Osborn Rd
Elwell, MI 48832

Tell him Tim Swanson Told you to call and he'll hang up right away, Just kidding, tell him I told you to call and Ill get my suck up points. Hey what can I say, he's part of the "Good old boys network" and that is very important to any aircraft owner. ;D
