I have tried the search function but haven’t had much luck so please don’t shoot me down in flames!

I have a 1946 J-3 and, like most, it has had some mods over the years. I am working to install the original configuration sling seats in the aircraft and need some more information and hopefully someone can help.

For the rear sling seat, what diameter and wall thickness are the fwd and aft tubes?
What is the prefered pattern for lacing the front and rear slings?
What type and size cord is everyone getting the best results with?

I have purchased new slings and cushions from Don Jones and am happy to report he supplies a great product at a good price. He is a nice guy too who owns several classic aircraft back in the USA.

I have Cub Clues 122 which has great detail on the upper connection of the rear sling and also have looked at photos such as Barn Cub which shows detail of the original installation. My rear seat belt installation was previously modified and uses 4130 strap around the lower airframe cross tube which is probably as strong as you can make it.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Kenny

PS - I tried earlier to post this and I have no idea where it went so hopefully I haven't started two threads.
