After 5 "easy" winters here in North Dakota (which here means lots of extreme cold but not much snow), we have a "normal" winter again (had to call in a Cat D6 bulldozer to clear my driveway twice so far) and that makes me think about skis for the J-3. Probably this is a very bad time of year to buy skis, but if anyone has a lead on a set please let me know.

More importantly this winter, is there anyone out there giving ski flying lessons, ideally in a J-3 or something similar up to a Super Cub and ideally somewhere in the Dakotas, Montana, or Minnesota? I think I'd like it but I definitely want lessons and a taste of flying with skis before splurging on a pair for the plane.
