While changing oil I was unable to reseat the quick drain. After removing it I found a safety wire pigtail lodged in the quick drain hole keeping it from dropping back down into its closed position. I figure this had to break off of a rod end safety and am now wondering how concerned I should be about it. If I recall correctly, Engine has approx. 1250 SMOH. During annual in May, all Cylinder compressions were good at 76-78/80. There has been no metal in the oil screen and there is no filter on this engine setup. Thoughts?
