Speaking of interior fabric and access to stuff : Needed to replace the carb heat cable and sheath and found it was routed tightly through a fabric wrap on a fuse tube and between outside and inside covering of course..Did not want to remove the boot cowl for access. Some head scratching failed attempts then a good method was found...Maybe it is well known already ? At Fry's I found a long piece of shrink tubing just the right OD and ID to feed aft over the existing cable assy and into the fabric opening at the cable knob end. The other end remained forward of the f'wall. The tube served as a conduit to pull the old unit out to the rear ..leaving the tube in place. Fed the new assy forward through this "conduit" . Just left the tube in place on the new cable sheath.
