Even though we are at half strength, the amount of chatter just took a giant leap upward at our airport.

Seems like a turbine got an "RA" on short final, because the aircraft on the parallel runway triggered his equipment. They say that means a go- around is mandatory. And had the turbine seen the airplane, the go-around could have been avoided. And an RA is apparently reportable.

So you guessed it - anytime two aircraft are in the class delta, they have to be told about each other. We now have some very busy controllers telling those on right downwind about those on left downwind.

It is getting difficult to get a word in edgewise. Most students, of course, speak better English than I do Urdu, and they practice by reading back almost every word except their N- number. That adds up.

What happens if we ever get back to 1977 activity? We will need data links.
