Are there any rules of thumb for changes in performance when changing prop pitch with the same model propeller?

Like 1" increase in pitch will give about x increase in rpm? or mph?

Mine has a Mac 7140 square ends. Seems not to make full rpm on climb out but does if I level off. Cruise is 70-75 with big tires. Just curious what I might be able to gain in cruise if I go to a 42. C-85.

As always thanks for the info.
