Bids start at $175, Looks like they may be worth it.
20 1/4" X 28 1/4" overall including original frame. No signature or date visible but possibly under the mat, doubtless contemporary to the other view we have listed C. 1937/38. Still sealed however and we have no intention of opening it, untouched 'as found'. Absolutely exquisite quality, pencil, pen/ink, ink wash. Excellent condition, some scattered foxing on matt and some minor foxing/chipping along the edges, center section w/the plane absolutely perfect. Cub logo on the tail, registration number also partially visible (NC 2(3)4573) so the exact aircraft could doubtless be researched. We purchased this in Lock Haven from the family of an early Piper employee who stated it was commissioned by Piper and displayed in the company offices. Most impressive, obviously unique and a wonderful addition to any American aviation collection. Full refund less shipping if not completely satisfied. $10.00 shipping (US).
