I talked with TCM today and my engine is so old they have no record of it. They were unable to locate any information on either the Cont. serial # or the Army serial #.
The case has two castings on it, one is next to the part # and is dated 1-2-42, the second casting is between the cylinders and is 12-31-41. I have no idea what the 2nd date refers to unless it may be the date of the military contract.
This engine is one of the first batch of military engines that were made but I have no information on how many were produced at that time. It was not the original engine that came on the O-58A from the factory but was installed sometime before it was sold as surplus.
Best Regards,
Steve
