After a long semester, I could really use an escape trip. One idea I had was to take the Cub out and camp with it for the first time. (Parking it in the South 40 at Oshkosh and walking to another camp site doesn't count in my book.) I currently have May 27 to June 1 off, but I don't intend to spend that whole time traveling with the Cub.

I'd be interested to hear:
  • places to visit within 300 miles of KCMI
  • airports or private grass strip owners that allow tent camping
  • tips for making such a trip (like pilot lounges with a shower)
  • anyone that wants to meetup or fly together

I would go to Sentimental Journey, but I have a family reunion that week. Some possible location ideas I already have on my list are CAF at Smartt Field in St. Charles, MO, and maybe Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson if anyone says they've flown into there with their Cub. ;)
