Most probably one of the experienced L-4 owners with a large historical cub knowledge can comment this;
I am a bit confused here. When I read the POH (page 4) it says several times and even shows pictures that an L-4H has the antenna reel and entrance fair-lead. The L-4H is actually seen these days (and was) without those and with the BC 659 showing the fixed antenna protruding the plexi.
On the facebook L4 pages there is a publication of RCA (manufacture) from 1939 I believe, saying that these are the radios for the Piper cub. Everything changed then during the war when production rates went up?
I am currently selling the AVR20 and AVT15 and it would be a real bummer selling those if I could have installed them on my aircraft.
