Changed my Cubs oil pressure/oil temperature gauge today..
The new gauge was very accurate (exact) during my boiling test before I installed it. But …. The new gauge temp probe did not have the small split washer between the temp bulb and the brass threaded tightening nut. Pic is of the old temp bulb without the split washer, which I put on the new assembly.. if the washer is not in place, the brass threaded nut will bottom out without being properly tightened.
New gauge performed well and accurately after install and leak checked Ok..
I’m sure many folks here know this information… but it might be of use to some.
