My Champ student today said "No need for you to hang around; I always start it myself"
He then said "I set the brakes, put chocks on it, make sure it is at idle, and then start it. It is impossible for anything to go wrong."
Do you think that is true? Are there no cases of empty Champs charging across the ramp, having been started by careful aviators who checked the throttle first? I have never seen an unoccupied aircraft go, but it seems to me that there have been such instances.
