I was talking with the local FAA inspector the other day about float options. Living in Central pa there are a few places to fly float planes but not many to keep one on straight floats. We got to taking about putting one of the new LSA anphibs on a J3/PA11. Do you think that this has any merit. He is more than willing to help me with the reserch for it.

Options include

Downwind Technologies
Chech Floats.

There are a few other ones out there. The Baumann straights weight around 200 pounds and the downwind are right around 210.

Let me know your opinions

Thanks

Keith
