Went to Warrenton-Fauquier Airport, VA, yesterday, to see the EAA Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast", and help out the Chapter 186 members if needed. There were lots of members there, so we just enjoyed the afternoon. They had seven full-house paid flights on Friday, sponsored by a local Bank, six on Saturday, and three scheduled for Sunday. There was a long and continuing line of folks taking the $10 family or $6 per person (EAA donation) tour through the airplane. It is beautifully restored, and appears to have a paint job of mettalic silver paint on most of it. It must have been an incredible sight (and noise) when hundreds of these graceful aircraft lifted off and headed together to brave the enemy flack and fighters to defend this country.

The Stearman belongs to one of our Chapter members, who also is in the Model A Ford club I am in.
