Its a rainy day in Central California. Today my nine year old son Max and I built a Crystal Radio from a kit I ordered on eBay. He wanted a project for his upcoming science fair, and we decided that would be a good activity. The finished product works quite well. Like any radio, its quite dependent on the antenna. He's pulling in local AM stations and some Spanish music channel from Mexico (or Los Angeles). Neat!
