cowl bracket and clips J5A

Still working on my project list for the J5. Here's a question I've been pondering. The cowl brackets stick forward through the top and bottom pieces of the cowl -- they are attached with a cowl clip which is backed by a rubber grommet, like a J3. My problem is that it appears that the hole is drilled too far forward through the bracket so that the clip is free to rotate around the bracket risking nicking the back of the prop. Previously the clips have been safetied in place to prevent rotation, but I'm not really happy with that solution, have any other J5 guys run across similar problems, I'm trying to figure out a better way.
