Well I was stupid tonight. Wiping the bugs off the struts I snagged the pitot tube with my rag and snapped it off right at the strut. Looking at it the thing appears to be either copper or brass tubing 3/16" either soldered or brazed at the ends to the jury strut. I have a copy of drawing 12931 and it does not look too complicated to bend another tube just wondering if anyone has repaired one before and if so any tips on how to remove the old tube and insert and braze in the new. Or is there another simpler way?

Univair has a new pn 12931 jury strut listed for $ 125. I hate to spend that kind of money for a piece of copper tubing.
