airline pilots thoughts on Hudson River forced crash

I know several of you are or were airline pilots and I wonder what your thoughts are on the Hudson River crash landing. Would you have done the same? How would you have reacted? Honestly this is what, we as passengers, expect of our pilots however it doesn't always work that way! So was Captain Sully just doing his job or was he truely exceptional or both?
